"What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity.
These are but trifles, to be sure; but,
scattered along life's pathway,
the good they do is inconceivable."

ReplyDeletelovely photos, I must know how you managed to snap that shot of the hummingbird? We're just starting to get to grips with photography so you'll have to excuse my ignorance in these things!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting! My secret? Patience. Just keep the camera steady and focused and pointed at the feeder and then when the hummingbird shows up - snap! It sometimes takes several attempts! Have a lovely weekend. x Karen

ReplyDeleteMission accomplished, Karen! Your post brought a smile to my face! Your are so lucky that you live remote enough, that you can let your dogs off leash on the walks. My doberman Skylar would love that, too, but it is not going to happen with all the cars in our suburbs. Love the looks of your two American Eskimos. That is a breed that I haven't seen in person, yet.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful rest of the weekend!

ReplyDeleteDear Karen,
ReplyDeleteit makes me happy to see, that 4 from 5 things that makes you happy are our beloved animals. Me too. Littel Miss Ling-Ling is a Siamese? My Grandma had a Dachshund too, his name was Seppel. Didn´t saw Dachhunde for more than 40 years, memories come back.
Have a nice week, all the best Barbara
Hello, Barbara, Thank you for your sweet visit! Yes, Ling-Ling is part Siamese. She was my Dear Mother's beloved cat. My Mother asked me to take good care of her after she was gone, and I have tried very hard to do just that. She is a very sweet cat and we love her. These little companions always stay in our hearts and minds, even after many years. Take care, dear Barbara and I wish you a lovely week, too. xx Karen
DeleteLove the dogs. We used to have two mini American Eskimo's, Spencer and Teddy Bear. Dogs of all kinds are wonderful and make me happy!
