I love the imagery of descent, and also how the act of remembering the forgotten soldier mirrors your love of the father who seems to have forgotten you. (Though I don't believe for a minute he has on the deepest level.) Although you're dealing with very sad things, your piece seems really uplifting and affirmative to me! Thank you.

I am struggling with how to express myself in this situation, and this came to me in the middle of the night and I felt compelled to write. I do feel my Father's life is over-all uplifting and I am happy that was conveyed in my piece. And I do hope you are right and he does know me on the deepest level, and I feel this is true.
