With Heartfelt Gratitude

Hello, my dear friends, I want to thank you
from the bottom of my heart for your sweet
condolences and prayers for our family's
recent loss.

Those cherished words of kindness
and comfort mean so very much
to me and to my whole family.

xoxo

We are back home now and trying to
get back to a normal routine,
minus our Bright Angel, but she
is with us in spirit and always in our hearts.

This time of year is filled with Angels
and it is a sweet reminder of the love
we shared.

This little one is from our first year of marriage,
so many years ago, and sits atop our tree <3

I do love Angels....

Always watching over us.....

Now, more than ever, this troubled world truly
needs these divine beings to guide us.

Even if you don't believe in them,
they are there to assist.

My favorite movie of all time is
'It's a Wonderful Life.'

Especially the last line.......

"Every time a bell rings,
an Angel gets its wings."

I truly love this time of year
when goodwill and kindness
help to overcome the sadness in the world.

Like ripples in a pond, kindness grows
ever larger the further it gets from the source.

We can never know the impact that loving
acts of kindness can truly have.

It's worth remembering......

This time of year and always.

Sometimes the true impact is never really known
until all is said and done.

When love transcends all.....

It truly was a wonderful life.

xoxo

I think I hear a bell ringing!

xoxo

  5. Our family Angels do indeed watch over us Karen. We have twice been on the fringes of terrorism, and escaped twice, leaving us shaken, but unharmed. If that isn't Angels guarding us, I don't know what is. I'm hoping that cherished memories of this darling lady, sustain you through the festive season. Wishing you a peaceful heart this Christmas. Much Love, Mimi xxx

  11. I've just watched The Bishop's Wife with Cary Grant as an Angel and David Niven as the Bishop, all black and white and lovely. They don't make films like that any more. Have a good Christmas. x

  25. Dearest Karen,
Not an easy Christmas with so many mixed emotions.
Love the photo of the four siblings in a tight embrace... They embody their Parents and that's how they will live on.

  26. Hugs to you this Christmas season Karen. I want to share a little conversation I once had with my mom when I was young. I had heard that someone famous had died on Christmas day, and I commented to my mom that that would be the worst day to die. She disagreed. She said she thought it would be a wonderful day to pass into heaven on the same day that Jesus was born. So although your heart is aching and you are missing your sweet mother-in-law at this time of year, maybe the thought that it IS a wonderful time to pass into heaven will ease your sadness just a tiny bit.
I just love that last photo.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Karen, and God bless you all.
