Tribute to Greatness

Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela
1918 - 2013

"No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite."

1994, from his autobiography,
"Long Walk to Freedom"

The world has lost one of its brightest beacons.
But we can continue his legacy
each and every day.

I also put the same quote on my facebook. It's my most favorite quote of him.
    Thinking of you my friend.

  8. Very nice tribute- he was a great man, and he didn't have to go around telling everyone he was great like some men of our times, either. The world has lost a great soul.

  9. What a true hero and inspiration. It's amazing to me that he spent 27 years in prison but didn't come out with any bitterness at all. How many people on earth could do that??

  10. Absolutely. He was an extraordinary person and his autobiography is one of the books that I've continued to refer to over the years. It's quite amazing to consider the impact that one single person can have on the world! And I don't think that is only true of those in high-profile positions.
